What our efforts REALLY meant to the Irish Cancer Society
I have some amazing REAL WORLD facts to give you all about what RunForPaddy.com has done for cancer patients. The Irish Cancer Society told me today that our final total of €8,421 can do one of the following:
- Provide 4,250 booklets on ‘Understanding Cancer’ for a patient or family member.
- Fund 350 calls to the Cancer Information Service from newly diagnosed cancer patients. Freefone 1800 200 700.
- Fund 25 full nights of care from a Night Nurse in the patients own home for a person who is seriously ill with cancer
- Fund training for 17 volunteers to provide emotional and practical support to people with cancer at any stage of their cancer journey.
